Intimate lakeside tented lodge on Lake Ihema, run by the park's managers — every stay supports Akagera's conservation.
On Lake Ihema, southern Akagera
Ruzizi Tented Lodge stands on the shore of Lake Ihema in the south of Akagera National Park. It is run by the park’s management, so revenue goes straight back into conservation.
Tents are raised on wooden decks under the trees, with hippos often heard at night. It is a comfortable, well-located base for boat trips and game drives.
